It is one of the finest places in CP. If one is looking for fine dining with beautiful décor and mouth-watering food then you are at the right place to satisfy all your need. The place established in 1942 as a coffee house, has expanded itself in various cuisines like North Indian, European and Mediterranean, with a wide variety of choices. Name it and you will find it. No fancy innovation or playing with the taste. The authenticity of the food is the priority. I am a vegetarian and loved all their items. Everything was just perfect; ingredients in every dish were well composed.
Drinks – Green Valley – Presentation was very beautiful – mix of Khus, apple and other fruits a nice mocktail. Strawberry Colorado – Must try with a touch of coconut milk mind-blowing.
I started with Makai Malai Seekh – which was healthy and had the first bite without chutney I find it a light sweet trace due to Makai, and then I tried it with chutney and it was mind blowing never tasted a dish like this before. Kabab was crispy as well as soft at the same time – Juicy in short.
Cottage cheese – Big Chunks well marinated till inside – delectable. Have a bite and you will feel the freshness and softness with all the flavours dancing in your mouth.
Dal Makhani – One of the best Dal I had in recent times. Nothing fancy just simple and up to the mark with spices on the lower side.
Paneer Kali Mirch – Mildly sweet as cooked in the Cashew gravy and cottage cheese simmered in smooth black pepper.
Mirchi Baigan Ka Salan – Tiny Baigan served with spicy gravy. The gravy had a good balance of spices with a light taste of sourness due to Lemon I believe which was giving a relishing touch.
Pulao – It consists of Pineapple, Paneer, Risin – The one who likes little sweet pulao must go for it. I am little of spicy kind of person.
Dessert – The best Kala Jam served with Ice cream. Be careful while ordering, the portion size is good. The dessert is perfect for 3 people to carve their sweet hunger. It has a stuffing of Paneer and Khoya in it.
Caramel Custard – When it comes to dessert I don’t compromise with sweetness level in it. This dish was great custard with little sweetness and sweet caramel all around the custard.
A place which serves one of the best and authentic food with world class service and beautiful ambience which will take you back in the Era of 1940’s. The experience of this just different a true Royal feels. Don’t miss the big beautiful chandelier in between the hall lighting the whole Palace.
