I don’t know why I have not been to this place. Have heard a lot about Berco’s but never get a chance to visit. But finally, on Friday afternoon I visited the Indrapuram branch. Berco’s has more than 30 chains in Delhi/NCR and I was here to find out why it is so popular.
The ambience of this place is Royal, a mix of white and brown. The place has separate sections to cater to your need. A mocktail bar in the middle where you can see your drink getting prepared. Ordered Mint Mojito and Cold Coffee.
They have a vast menu and a good number of veg dishes too. For the starters, I asked the server for the recommendation and they suggested spring roll and Cheese corn as there chef specialty. While waiting for the order was looking around and what I found is, this place has a glass wall on two sides which give restaurant ample of sunshine. Meanwhile, my spring rolls arrived, stuffed with finely chopped vegetables mainly Cabbage. The Spring rolls were decent in taste which set them apart from others where the good quality of raw material is used while making it.
Cheese Corn roll – They were terrific, Cheese was oozing out and served in martini glass cut into half. We ate 2-3 in a go without discussing how they were. Must have for the vegetarians, can’t miss it at any cost (if you like cheese you will love it). Though cheese was not that much still it overpowered the taste of corn but still, I loved it.
Now it was my friend’s turn to order the dish and I already know what he will order – Chilli Paneer. Where ever we both go, chilli paneer will follow. So half-heartedly I ordered it. Its aroma was appetizing and with the first bite, I was amazed. The paneer was very well marinated till the core and it was nicely tossed with the sauces and the veggies ( capsicum and onion).
Honey Lotus stem Chips – I preferred this over honey chilli potato and ordered it. But It was a mistake, first, the presentation was poor, they were finely chopped and it supposed to be crispy but they turned out hard to chew and too sweet for us. We told the same and as a nice gesture they asked us to replace it but we denied as we were already full.
Nothing is complete without a good dessert, so we ended our meal on a sweet note eating Brownie and ice cream.
The place is beautiful and the staff is courteous, loved my cold coffee. Will be surely visiting soon to try more dishes.
