This month is treating me great, in terms of food, I started my month by having some good Asian food, followed by the Malaysian delicacy than tried some mix of Spanish and Japanese food and at the end some good desi Chinese. But hold on month is not over yet nor do my hunger this time I went to the place which is very famous among dumpling lovers, Tibetan Market is full of such food.
The Place is Yeti – The Himalayan Kitchen, my friend was forcing me to have food from this place and finally when it opens in CP, I couldn’t stop myself from going there. The place serves some of the best delicacies of Nepal and Tibet. Being a Naïve in this my friend took the charge and ordered everything, he has been to there another outlet couple of times and knows his way around food.
We started with the most famous Yeti Veg Platter – Aloo Sadeko, Bhuteko Chana, Wai Wai Sadeko and Tingmo. Sadeko means marinated so Aloo Sadeko was marinated with spices, to good in taste and little high on salt. Same goes with the Wai Wai Sadeko, it was crispy and flavourful loved it. Bhuteko Chana was the best among all – it was evenly spiced and in spite of being masaledar, we keep having it. Tingmo – is a steamed bread in Tibetan cuisine, referred as a steamed bun. The outer covering is of White flour (maida).
Aloo Momo – If you are a momo fan, then you need to try this dish. Vegetarian will love this. We were two and we took like 2 minutes in finishing all the pieces.
Now is the time to have the most famous Dish – Ema Datshi/Datchi, National Dish of Bhutan. A dish made from chilli peppers and Cheese and tastes heavenly, just one full of the spoon and you won’t stop eating until it is finished. The must-try dish if you are here.
After having the Ema Datshi we were done and was thinking to skip the main course but how one can skip noodles??? We ordered Chow Chow Noodles – Stir-fried noodles with vegetables. A simple dish but good quality of raw materials were taking it to the next level.
In Dessert we had – YOMARI – Sweet Newari steamed rice dumpling with Nutella Chocolate. The hot Nutella inside dumplings is was just bliss. While breaking it into two the molten Nutella was flowing over the fingers and were eating the dumpling and licking our fingers. It was the perfect dessert anyone can think of.
So we ended our meal on a sweet note. We had some drinks at the start too they were decent. Must try is everything I have mentioned you cant skip even a single dish or maybe Chow chow but do try something else. I feel like going again really soon to try other dishes.
