Aerocity is getting diversified In terms of food. Every time I visit this place and find something new places serving good food. Recently I visited Kampai to experience authentic Japanese food and would say I was spellbound by their food and service.
We were a group of 8 people and we asked for private space. They have two rooms designed in Japanese style to get you in the feel. We took out our shoes and made ourself comfortable on the floor chairs. Started with the Cocktail – Yuzu Senso Sour – So I took it without egg white. Yuzu is a citrus fruit like our Lemon and Senso is Pepper. So the drink was accomplished blend of Whiskey, Yuzu and Senso. It was refreshing due to the presence of Yuzu and well balanced neither too sweet nor to sour.
In food, we had Seaweed Potato Croquettes – Potato Croquettes with Tonkatsu sauce and sriracha mayo. It was crispy and going well along with sauces.
Brie Tempura – Brie is a kind of Cheese originated from France, made up of cow milk, served with mezzo glaze and lettuce.
After having these I was eyeing on the Sushi, ordered Crunchy Vegetable roll and Caterpillar roll. The Sushi’s were fresh and was having Asparagus in it. It hardly took a few seconds to finish all the portions as they were so scrumptious. Don’t expect much from Wasabi, though the sauces along with were quite good.
Now it was time for the main course Tofu Steak, Kimchi Fried rice and stir-fried noodles. The quantity of noodles was very good enough for 3 were on the other hand Kimchi fried rice was equally good and going well with tofu steaks. Were 4 Vegetarians and we were full in these three dishes
In Desserts we had Baked Yuzu Cheesecake and Matcha Tiramisu. Loved the Cheese Cake as I am not a Matcha fan but my friends are and they happily ate it. Even before I asked for one they ate all.
The place is beautiful, with good food, nice ambience, big bar and helping staff. We all enjoyed it, the place is good for families and groups who love Japanese food.
