One word for this place is HUGE… The LOD is famous for its drinks, food and vibes. It has something to offer to every class of people whether you need to throw a party, spend time with your family or friends or just want to grab a few drinks this is the place. We were a bit early and that too on a weekday, so the vibes were relaxed and as the time passed slowly the crowd filtered into the shadowy space.
We grabbed one corner to relax and ordered a few drinks to kick off the evening. As our friends were still joining, we ordered for the starters. They have a winter menu from which we first tried Sarso Saag Hummus. This is a modern version of Saag, with a mild hint of actual Saag and Makke ki roti. If a one doesn’t love Saag can still enjoy it. It was served with pita bread made from Makka topped with a glaze of jaggery over the pita.
Next, we tried Shakarkandi chaat which was a hit combo, even my non-veg eating friends loved it. Shakarkandi is a sweet potato, the chaat was having Star fruit, chips, pomegranate, tomato, onion etc.
Ram Ladoo AU Gratin – Ram Ladoo is crispy fried balls made of moong dal and channa dal batter. This is the ladoo which is not sweet and quite popular in Northern Part of India. These fried ladoos are served with Julienne radish and spicy mint chutney.
Paneer bhurjee Pops – Paneer fried balls with spinach almond curry and garlic spaghetti. Was trying spaghetti with spinach curry for the first time and it tasted normal. Loved the paneer balls and spaghetti.
We ended our dinner on a very fun note with good food, drinks and music. Loved the vibes of this place with good service.
