Cabbage Idli – Idli with a twist
The first recipe on my blog is my favourite cabbage idli. These are good for health and really tasty, don’t believe me try it your self. Easy to cook without any hustle. A healthy breakfast to start the day.
Cabbage – 1 cup (Chopped into small).
Besan(gram flour) – 1 cup
Baking Sode – 1/2 spoon
Eno – 1/2 spoon
Oil – 1 Spoon
Salt, Black mustard seed(rai), Red chilli powder, Sour curd, 4 Lemon(juice), Hing(asafoetida) – (1 pinch), Green Chilli, Curry leaves.
Take a bowl and mix cabbage + salt + Hing(asafoetida) + red chilli + beasn(gram flour) + sour curd and make a batter. It should be thick. Make a hole in the centre of the batter. Then put some juice of Lemons in the hole u make and put soda and Eno in it. Mix it with a light hand so that froth of the all the three ingredients won’t lost.
Take the idli cooker and put one glass of water in it. Grease the idli maker with little oil. Then take the batter and put it into the Idli cooker (the batter). Then cook it for 5-8 minutes.
Then gently take out it from the idli mould. Heat oil in the pan and add Hing + curry leaves + mustard seed + green chilli + Idli you took out from the mould and stir-fry for 1 minute.
The dish is ready to eat.
